CTP Awarded Four Shipsets for New LNGC Project

Coffin Turbo Pump, Inc. (CTP) has been awarded a contract by Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. (HHI) of Korea for twelve boiler feed pumps.Ai?? Four shipsets of three pumps each will be installed on four LNG (liquefied natural gas) carriers HHI is to construct for Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS), the state-owned oil and gas provider in Malaysia.Ai?? The feed pumps will be installed PETRONAS’s four new LNG carriers, which will play a major role in transporting LNG produced in PETRONAS’s future LNG projects.Ai?? Deliveries are scheduled for 2015 and 2016 and manufacturing will take place at Coffinai??i??s Englewood, NJ facility in the United States.
Each boiler feed pump shipset consists of two steam turbine drive pumps and one motor drive pump per ship for a total of twelve (12) pumps under this contract.Ai?? The pumps meet the higher pressure and temperature conditions of the latest Ultra Steam Turbine (UST) plants being supplied by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Marine Machinery & Engine Co., Ltd. (MHI-MME).
